Kevin established Blackhawk Capital Partners in 1987. Kevin specializes in wealth protection strategies encompassing asset management, financial, estate and tax planning. Kevin has 30 years of experience in the securities and financial services industry. He works closely with successful, affluent individuals, assessing their personal and business planning needs.
Prior to founding Blackhawk Capital Partners, Kevin dedicating much of his career to educating the professional community on all aspects of risk and asset management, he owned and operated the Wisconsin chapter of the CPALAW FORUM. Kevin also collaborated on the publication of “Wealth Protection MD”, a guidebook for the unique risks inherent to medical professionals and medical offices. Kevin has written many articles relating to the risk management concerns of physicians and business owners for leading industry magazines such as: Physicians Practice Journal, Hematology & Oncology News and Issues, and Nephrology News.
Kevin brings the experience of 25+ years as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional with FINRA licensed series 7, 63 and 24. He is also a Registered Principal with United Planners. His strong educational background includes business studies at Northwestern Business College, University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and Cardinal Stritch University.

Susie joined the Blackhawk Capital Partners team as a Senior Vice President – Wealth Advisor. Prior to joining Blackhawk, Susie was a Wealth Advisor for Beacon Pointe Wealth Advisors and Director of Wealth Management in Arizona for Enterprise Bank and Trust. Susie began her education at the College of Charleston in Medical Technology. Focusing on the Financial Services industry, she completed her Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1984, Charter Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1985 and became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) in 1990.
Susie’s specialty areas include consulting and assisting in the implementation of tax-favored legacy plans for affluent individuals, creating Professional Investment Management solutions that fit each client’s goals and objectives and asset protection used in estate planning.
Susie lives in North Scottsdale with her Border Collie, Cotti. She enjoys singing in the church choir, hiking, golfing and Arizona sunsets.
Trace is a partner at Blackhawk Capital Partners and brings over 20 years of experience working with clients and incorporating strategies designed to address asset management, financial, estate, and tax planning. Trace is entrepreneurially driven and uses this expertise in working with affluent business leaders on managing their wealth both personally and within their businesses. Trace works closely with clients by employing a needs-based process that focuses on helping them identify goals and assembling a plan to accomplish them.
Trace also brings the experience of a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional with FINRA licensed series 7, 66, 24 and 53. Trace received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Marquette University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota.
Trace is a Wisconsin native and serves on the Board for the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation as a past president and as a co-chair for their Food & Wine Experience. He and his wife, Katie, reside in Elm Grove, WI and have three daughters, Sophia, Emelia, and Isabel.

Chris serves as Portfolio Manager of Blackhawk Capital Partners. Chris also chairs Blackhawk Capital Partners’ Investment Committee and manages the implementation, execution, and investment strategy of client portfolios. As Portfolio Manager, Chris is responsible for the development and maintenance of Blackhawk Capital Partners’ investment philosophy and policy, and has developed unique and innovative investment strategies which allow Blackhawk to take advantage of the constantly changing investment landscape for our clients.
Chris is responsible for research of investment trends and opportunities, monitoring managed portfolios, and communicating updates on securities and managers to the Blackhawk team. He has been serving affluent families and individuals since 2002. He believes strongly in providing clients with honest, straightforward, and meaningful service that is appropriate to their particular financial situation. He works closely with clients and other advisors to develop an individualized investment plan that is tailor-made for clients’ current and future needs.
Chris received bachelor’s degrees, with high honors, in finance and accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University where he was selected as Outstanding Finance Major by the finance department faculty. He is FINRA licensed series 7 and 66 and has completed the educational requirements for his CFP® certification. He is also a Registered Representative of United Planners.
Chris is active within the community and volunteers at the local humane society. He has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and made trips to Honduras where he worked with a team building schools. He enjoys an active lifestyle that includes mountain biking, hiking, and lifting weights. Chris is a former multiple time Arizona state powerlifting champion and held a number of powerlifting records for USA Powerlifting and other federations. His greatest joy is spending time with his wife Tiffany, their two young children, and two dogs.

Lynn joined Blackhawk Capital Partners in 1999 and has been in the financial services field since 1993. She is responsible for ensuring and improving the productivity and efficiency of the firm, while focusing on retaining and strengthening client relationships. Lynn provides administrative support for company sponsored 401(k), Defined Benefit and Qualified plans. Lynn lives in Jackson, Wisconsin where she focuses the majority of her time on renovations to her real estate property, participating in community events, reading, traveling and enjoying her many nieces and nephews.
Tom M. Kueht
Tom is VP, Wealth Investment Advisor with Blackhawk Capital Partners. During Tom’s 40 plus years in the financial services industry, Tom has learned to address the client’s needs while adapting to changing market conditions and changes in the client’s personal economy. Tom believes that success can be best measured from results, that the client’s best interest always comes first.
Tom attended St. Norbert College in DePere WI, graduating with his bachelor’s degree in Economics. He has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager in surveys conducted by Milwaukee Magazine and OnMilwaukee.com.
Tom and his spouse Kathie live in the historic Washington Highlands area of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. They are proud parents of Tim Kueht and Kristin (Rob) Zeman along with their four grandchildren.
Matthew joined Blackhawk Capital Partners in 2021 as Portfolio Administrator and has been in the financial services field since 2019. Since 2024 he has served as Associate Portfolio Manager. Matthew assists in managing Blackhawk Portfolios, conducts stock and bond research, conducts trading, is responsible for advisory fee billing, and helps to ensure client portfolios are allocated to advisor specifications. Matthew also provides direct support to the Portfolio Manager in research, model management, and analysis. He is FINRA Series 7 and NASAA Series 66 licensed. He is also a Registered Assistant of United Planners.
Matthew lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado and enjoys spending his free time skiing, camping, and writing.
Makenna joined Blackhawk Capital Partners in 2021 after graduating from Arizona State University with her Bachelor of Arts in Business. As Client Service Administrator and Executive Assistant, she provides important administrative and back-office support across the firm. Makenna helps maintain client records, log client information, support account maintenance, assisting clients throughout the onboarding process, and completing meeting prep and setup for the partners of the firm. In addition to her client service responsibilities, Makenna also coordinates firm events and marketing initiatives.
Makenna lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband, Corbin and their dog, Gracie. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, spending time with her friends and family, and caring for her collection of houseplants.
Mindy joined Blackhawk Capital Partners in January of 2013. As office manager, she is responsible for human resources, bookkeeping, compliance, and ensuring that day-to-day operations are completed with efficiency. Mindy is at the helm of most of the internal processes within the company.
Mindy resides in Fredonia, WI with her husband, Brent and two children Mariska and Landon. She enjoys spending time with her family, mini golfing, swimming in the summer and building snow forts in the winter.

Mario DiVenere joined Blackhawk Capital Partners as a Wealth Advisor in Spring of 2024. Prior to joining Blackhawk Capital Partners, Mario was a Financial Solutions Advisor at Merrill. Mario works with both private and institutional clients across a multitude of wealth management solutions and holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification, along with FINRA Series 7 and NASAA 66 licenses, and his Life & Health insurance license.
Mario graduated summa cum laude from Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University with a degree in finance and a certificate of International Business through University College London, where he was additionally awarded the Academic Achievement Award in International Finance through the program.
With a focus on personalized financial strategies, Mario specializes in guiding business owners and affluent individuals through the complexities of wealth management. Mario is dedicated to helping clients preserve and grow their assets, optimize their financial performance, and achieve long-term success. Patrick Retzer brings over four decades of experience in financial planning, investment management, and tax expertise. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a BBA and MS in Taxation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Patrick has built a distinguished career in wealth management and advisory services.
Patrick joined Blackhawk Capital Partners as Senior Vice President – Wealth Advisor in July 2025. Patrick started his career in investment management in 1987 when he joined Heartland Advisors. During his time at Heartland, he helped grow the firm from $15 million to over $3 billion in assets under management (AUM), managed the Heartland U.S. Government Securities Fund as well as discretionary accounts, co-managed the Heartland Value Plus Fund, and both launched and managed the first Wisconsin and Nebraska Tax-Free Bond Funds.
Patrick’s expertise is backed by the Series 7, 63, 65, General Securities Principal, FinOps Principal, Municipal Securities Principal, Registered Options Principal, and Operations Principal. He has managed over $100 million in discretionary accounts with exceptional equity performance and has been featured on CNBC, Milwaukee radio and the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel.
Prior to Heartland, Patrick served as Product Supervisor at Aardvark/McGraw Hill, where he led the development of tax and financial planning software, and as a tax professional at Nankin, Schnoll & Company.

Pat and his wife Lauri both grew up, went to college and raised their family in Wisconsin, before moving to Florida in 2021. Their 2 daughters’ families, with a total of 4 grandchildren, reside in Wisconsin and Minnesota, where Pat & Lauri still enjoy summers and holidays.
Ryan’s approach to financial planning is highly collaborative. He works closely with clients and their outside professional advisors, including CPAs and attorneys, to help coordinate tax, legal, estate, and financial planning considerations. His legal background provides an additional and unique perspective when working with clients on advanced estate planning and wealth transfer matters.
Ryan holds multiple securities registrations, including Series 24, 7, 63, and 65, as well as Life and Health insurance licenses. He is also a practicing attorney with Elder Law Center of WI, LLC, though he is not licensed with the Arizona State Bar.
Prior to joining Blackhawk Capital Partners, Ryan was the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Family Wealth Advisors, LLC and previously worked as a tax consultant with Arthur Anderson & Co. in Chicago, IL.

Jay Rabins brings more than two decades of experience in financial services to Blackhawk Capital Partners. He began his advisory career in 2000 with Merrill Lynch and has spent his career helping clients understand, organize, and pursue their financial goals.
Jay works with clients to develop customized financial plans designed around their specific needs. His planning approach may include retirement planning, estate planning, education planning, and broader financial decision-making. He believes that a thoughtful plan should give clients a clearer understanding of where they stand today and how each part of their financial life fits together.
Before entering the financial services industry, Jay spent 20 years working behind the scenes on feature films, television, and Broadway. That background continues to shape his client-first approach, attention to detail, and appreciation for long-term collaboration.

John plays a central role in investment due diligence, client financial planning strategies, and the day-to-day service operations that help keep client accounts running smoothly.
